A Blood Clot? What?

Hello everyone,  I hope all is well with you and your families.  Okay so on Friday I went to the doctor’s office; they were going to do a Pulmonary Hypertension function test, and a X-ray of my lungs.  Talking about taking for ever,  It was almost unbearable.  Keeping my arms in certain positions while in this tubular structure, and not being able to move for long periods of time; okay maybe it was like 7 to 10 minutes during each test.  But it seem like a lifetime, I kid you not.

When all of the test were over, I proceeded to the next room to do the X-ray.  After completing the X-ray, they had me sit in the waiting room until I heard from the Tech.  He was going to let me know if I should proceed over to the emergency room or let me know it was okay to go home.  Well as luck would have it, I was escorted over to the emergency room.  Sometimes I think If it wasn’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all.  I am freaked out, OMG! I have a blood clot! I am scared, shaking, and on the verge of crying.  “Why me Lord? I said.  “Could any thing else happen?

I get checked into the emergency room, room #29.  EKG’s, Urine samples, and another CT Scan, only this time with the Contrast.  I wait for hours, I am hungry because at this time it’s about 7pm; the only thing I had was a sausage sandwich and juice at 10am.  I am grumpy, angry, scared, cold, and my body is sore from that wonderful bed in the hospital.

A special dye called a contrast material is needed for some CT scans, to help highlight the areas of your body being examined.  The contrast material blocks X-rays and appears white on images, which can help emphasize blood vessels, intestines or other structures.  Contrast material might be given to you by mouth or veins.

Good news at last, although it’s 10pm, I can go home, no blood clot, kidneys and everything seem to be functioning well.  I tell you, I cannot move fast enough to get out of that hospital.  Home here I come, yeah baby.

That’s it for now my friends, I believe I can honestly say “I love you” thanks for hearing me out, your precious time.  Take care of yourself, and make sure you tell your loved ones how much you love them.  Love melts the heart.  “I love you Mom (Florence)” It would be mom’s birthday today.  Be kind to one another!
