What happens if your medication doesn’t work; Adempas
After signing up for this program to take Adempas, I have found that it disagrees with my body. The purpose of the Adempas is to reduce the pulmonary hypotension in my lungs.
It appeared to be working in the beginning, I could see the swelling go down by eliminating the excess water my body was retaining. I had an excess of 40 or more pounds of unwanted fluid; almost to the point of suffocation. I felt my very life being taking away from me.
So as many African Americans are known for doing, that is exactly what I did. I altered my intake of this medication. I know, I am far from being a doctor, but when sharing with my home nurse what was going on in my body. He told me to inform my doctor. During my visit with her, she increased my dosage informing me I probably wasn’t taking it properly. So now I am on a higher dosage, and the problem still remains the same. Well, you don’t have to guess what I am doing now. Of course you are never to do this yourself, and that’s administer or alter the amount as you choose. It is not recommended and is very dangerous!
At this point in my life, I am at a crossroad. Waiting to see my doctor again, and what other medication she can put me on that won’t have the same affect as the Adempas. The hope I have would be slimmer everyday, if it were not for my faith and love in Jesus Christ, all hope would be gone.
At this juncture in my life, all I can do is ask, seek, and knock! Just as the scriptures tell us. 6. Do not give dogs what is holy; do not throw your pearls before swine. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces. 7. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:6-8
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. This the hope I have in Jesus Christ.
MY PRAYER FOR HEALING: Gracious Father I come to you as humble as I know how. Asking that you forgive me for all my sins. Anything that is not like you, remove it from me as far as East is from West. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. I ask for healing in my body, mind, and soul. Make me more like you, oh Lord. For all you have done, all that you are doing and all you are going to do, I thank you! I bless you Lord for you are God, and God alone. Thank you for your all powerful works, your unconditional love, and your healing grace. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, In Jesus name! I praise you and I thank you. Amen Kate
ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: Just like Daniel in the Lion’s Den, if God doesn’t heal me, I know He can!
