God made a promise to me

Has God made a promise to you? If you are a believer and live according to the Bible, then you too can receive the promises of God.

It was one of those extremely cold days while sitting on my porch, I was studying my Bible armed with a cup of coffee, it was a glorious moment and I was about ending before stumbling on a Bible text I had previously read but never had a deeper understanding of,Hebrews 6 vs 12. The second part of that scripture and subsequent verses made me come to the realize, God will always fulfil whatever promises he has made.

The next few days it dawned on me that God has a promise for me. How exciting. A promise he would fulfil. So I decided to study my Bible and cop-out promises I have from God by virtue of his words in the Bible. I expect other believers of Christ to relate to these promises, that’s the reason I’m articulating these promises. Would it not be nice to know God’s promises for us ?
I will be dividing these promises based on aspects of my life I’m struggling with and I hope it resonates with every other Christians that read this.

God’s promises for my finances

The Bible has made it clear that I should not lack anything because God will take care of my needs, So refreshing.
Philippians 4:19: And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 10:22: The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.
2 Corinthians 9:8: And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

God’s promises for my health
Do you know God has promised to me good health? And even when I’m not at my best state of health, he has promised to heal me.
Jeremiah 30:17:I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord
Exodus 15:26: If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.

Psalms 103:2-3: Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.

God’s promises for guidance

So many times I’ve had to make the tough decisions and have always abhor the fear that I might make the wrong ones. I’m so happy that God has made a promise to guide me, now I know I will be making only the right decisions.

Psalms 32:8:I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Isaiah 30:21: And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
It was exciting flipping through the pages of the Bible discovering of all these promises and I intend to live my life in the consciousness of those promises.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF: For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

  1. Hello, I have battled with certain illnesses for some time now. With hopes that God would heal me. Only to find out that I now have another medical issue. My faith is growing dim, I am trying to keep the Faith. Maybe you have some encouraging words for me. Thanks Karen

    1. Ms. Karen I understand you are concerned, but we must believe God’s word, that if He doesn’t we know He can. I too, have certain fears about the harsh reality that at any point I can be gone, and I have three little boys. But greater than death, is dying and not having Christ as my personal Savior. Know that God heals! So be not discouraged. There are scriptures to encourage you in the Lord. Such as: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. “If You can?” echoed Jesus. “All things are possible to him who believes!” “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”

      1. God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? Numbers 23:19. Ms. Karen I hope you find this helpful. Thanks Courtney
