Behold Thou Art There

If I Ascend Up Into Heaven, Thou Art There: If I Make My Bed In Hell, Behold, Thou Art There. Psalm 139:8

God is not just called omniscience or omnipresent because names are free and we can call him what we want. He is actually the all knowing and all seeing God. No matter the time, place, distance or state that you are currently in. He sees and knows everything. Walking down the street, he is there, in the valley, he knows.

Psalm 139:8, being our focus on this topic is a call to remembrance that God is ever present in any situation we find ourselves. David used this bible verse to describe the powerful knowledge of God. When the going is tough or easy, God is there. It is also a call to have faith in God as he is capable of stepping into any circumstances. An assurance to live free knowing that God has got our back! God searches the deepest things of the world. His presence is unquestionable. He knows the little thoughts in our heart. When we get to our green pastures and when we wallow in our downcast, His knowledge encompasses all.

In the knowledge of this, one should, before taking any action, think about the outcome. Is it Good or bad? Is our ways, attitude, lifestyle worth emulating? If when replayed, will it be wonderful or rather sorrowful sight to behold? Let’s not allow ourselves be deceived by the mindset that we can shy or hide away from our evil ways. The same God that picks the humble from the grass to be favoured, spots an evil eye in the crowd.

In your days of adversity and small beginnings, God sees, God knows.

If you can make your way to the heavens or maybe you can dare the heat of fire and brimstone, on your arrival, say it to the fearful man, say it to the woman who is merry in her evil ways, say it to the child whose innocence he wants to abuse, say it to the scientist who doubts in his ignorance, that God knows it all. It is not a contest, neither is it a topic to be proved by man-made methods, it is the truth. There is a need to reverence God in every aspect of our lives. Trusting in his power to help us live a life that is pleasing in his sight since he sees it all.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had their taste. Daniel was a testimony. What about Ananias and Saphira? We still live to tell the tale of the Holy Scriptures, just as David wrote. How else can one say God is not God? How will you live your life after this? From the womb he formed you, he made you and of course, he knew you.

Encourage yourself in the Lord: If there is a word on your tongue that God doesn’t know, or an action in the dark he doesn’t, or a success he hasn’t approved of, then he is not God.

The above sentence is solely for your encouragement to believe in God’s word, and trust Him whole heartedly. You Must Believe!

According to Numbers 23:19-20 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.
