God's call on your life. 7 things you never have to apologize for

Nick Vujicic

God’s call, on your life is no accident, He has a divine purpose for you. Learn To Live The Life God Has Called You To With Nick Vujicic at Saddleback Church. In this message, special guest Nick Vujicic talks about how we live the life God has given us. Regardless of your limitations, everything you need is in Jesus. Satan wants to take your joy and distract you from your focus, but God’s love and God’s call on your life will never change.

There’s something amazing about the thought of knowing and fulfilling your calling. It could be just me who feels this way, but I highly doubt it. I believe we all want to know that we’re on the right path. A “calling” really implies—it’s more than a job or task. Whether your primary work is in the professional world, the home, or some combination of both, we all desire the assurance and purposefulness of being able to say, “I was created for this. I’m doing what God called me to do.”

I believe I am especially goal-oriented, so the idea of knowing exactly what God wants of me is pretty incredible. If God had sent the soon to be 27-year-old me a memo detailing his practical goals and expectations for my life, I might have leaped for joy. In time, I’ve learned mostly the hard way that’s not really how God works. “Why not?” you all ask, “It would be so much easier that way. We could just get done what God wants us to do and we wouldn’t have to waste time wondering whether it was right or not.”

It’s About God
What if I told you that pursing your calling isn’t really about what you can do for God? As special and unique as you are, and as much as God loves you, he doesn’t need you to do anything for him. If God did, he could just send you a memo, right? What God wants, more than any accomplishment, is your heart. God wants to bring you into relationship with him.

Encourage Yourself: To hear God’s call, you must learn to recognize his voice, and there’s no shortcut for that. You must have the faith of a mustard seed.
